Honig Vineyard & Winery

March

The Honig family encapsulates the timeless and joyful spirit of old-school Napa and the legacy of Luis Honig, who began the family winery as a passion project in 1962 – eventually passing the program on to his grandson and current proprietor, Michael Honig, in 1984.

Nestled in one of Napa Valley’s most historic subregions—Rutherford AVA—Honig Vineyard & Winery specializes in Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc, two varietals that flourish in the area’s abundant sunshine. You’ll find notes of the famed “Rutherford Dust” in their Cabernet Sauvignon alongside notes of dried cherries for a soft, refined texture. Or delight in the zesty and bright sips of their Sauvignon Blanc.

Honig Winery is a leading example of a family-run operation that seamlessly blends tradition and innovation, ensuring that the essence of its past is maintained while looking ahead to the future. The winery prioritizes sustainable viticulture, not only benefiting the wines’ quality, but the health of Rutherford’s ecosystem, wildlife habitats, and community. Honig Winery offers the exclusivity of a small winery while remaining a prestigious representative of one of Napa’s most impactful regions.
